Amy St Lawrence, Alice Blackwood, Geoffrey Smith (Program Leader) and Gillian Fitzgerald work within the Healthy Waterways team at Blue Mountains City Council, monitoring water quality and aquatic macroinvertebrates in the waterways of the Blue Mountains and working on waterway restoration, stormwater treatment and water literacy projects as well as developing and now beginning to implement the Water Sensitive Blue Mountains Strategic Plan. Eric Mahony leads the Natural Areas Management team at Blue Mountains City Council and has pioneered local methods for stormwater biofilter construction as well as creekline and swamp restoration. Ian Wright is an Environmental Science Lecturer and researcher at Western Sydney University. He has been conducting research on waterways of the Blue Mountains area for three decades. Alan Benson is Catchment Programs Manager at WaterNSW and was instrumental in setting up the Jamison Catchment Streets to Creeks project with Blue Mountains City Council.
